Help Marshall Muskrat welcome 2022 as he descends to Somerset Avenue at midnight for his “Midnight Muskrat Dive.”
Bring family and friends for music, dancing, great food and drinks, and, of course, lots of quirky family fun! The celebration starts at 10 p.m. and admission is free. The muskrat drops at midnight, as Princess Anne welcomes 2022.
New this year, Marshall will dive from a 30-foot height, illuminated by a special light display, as he dives into the New Year.
Fresh-shucked oysters will be available at an Oyster Bar. Free Smith Island Cake will also be available.
Alcoholic beverages and chili bowls will be available for sale at The Washington Inn & Tavern. Squeaky’s Cafe will be open until midnight, offering a full menu of soups, salads, wings, sandwiches, and desserts.

Somerset Avenue will be closed from Broad Street to Prince William Street from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m. Parking just beyond the street closure is free.
For those who wish to dine at the Washington Inn and Tavern, reservations are being accepted. Call 443-399-3353. On New Year's Eve the Washington Inn will offer a special menu items and drinks. The restaurant will be open until 9 p.m. Food will be available for sale on the porch from 9 p.m. until midnight. The bar will remain open until 12:30 a.m.
The Washington Inn & Tavern has rooms available for $160/night, including breakfast on New Year’s Day.
The New Year’s Eve Midnight Muskrat Dive is hosted by Main Street Princess Anne and the town of Princess Anne.
