SALISBURY - Mark Lynn Townsend of Salisbury, died Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of Dorothy A. Johnson Wainwright and the late Eugene A. Townsend. A Delmar High School alumni, he worked at the Maryland Food Bank. He was a former member and Past Sachem of the Improved Order of the Redmen. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Marguerite Townsend; daughters, Crystal Marks and Michelle Townsend Draper; two grandchildren; a stepmother, Faye Townsend; sister, Christine Smith; half-sister, Susan Dela-Cruz Ward; stepsisters, Janine McGrath and Becky Griffin; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury.
