Marion T. Holloway, 82

SALISBURY - Marion T. Holloway, of Salisbury, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was 82. Born in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Leona Aaron Tyler. Mrs. Holloway was a retired registered nurse, formerly working at Peninsula General Hospital as well as serving as a private duty nurse. She was also a school bus contractor with the Wicomico County Board of Education for 54 years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Other memberships included PGH Nurses Alumni Association, The Maryland State Nurses Association, The Wicomico County School Bus Contractors Association, American Bus Association, Women of the Moose and The Mt. Hermon Lions Club. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard E. Holloway; a son, Richard Jeffrey Holloway and his wife Leah A.; grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth Sullivan, Richard Nicholas, Pamela Christine and Sophia Marie Holloway all of Salisbury; sisters, Mary Ellen Hollins and her husband Charles of Hudson, Faye Bender of Salisbury, Ann Brogley of Easton and Shirley Brannock of Salisbury; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Louis Robbins of Griffins Neck Vienna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Helen Tyler of Secretary,and William and Carolyn Tyler of Cambridge; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Christine Holloway; brothers, Henry and Gilbert Tyler; and a sister, Betty Lou Willey. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Holloway Funeral Home. Friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Thomas Hurley will officiate. Burial will be in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 211 Phillip Morris Dr., Salisbury, MD 21804.
