Marian H. Slacum

CAMBRIDGE - Marian H. Slacum passed away at her home with her family by her side on Feb. 11, 2018. She was born in Cambridge on Dec. 23, 1932 to parents Dorothy Deatrich Hoge and Earle E. Hoge. Raised in Cambridge, she graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1949.
She maintained a close relationship with classmates throughout her life.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Carrie B. Slacum (Rusty); son, Brian E. Slacum; granddaughters, Cheryl A. Slacum (Bret, fiance) and Madeline M. Fishpaw; grandsons, Christopher A. Slacum and Evan B. Fishpaw; and a granddaughter-in-law, Shawna Slacum; and two great-grandsons, Karter and Kamden Slacum. Also surviving is sister, Doris H. Weber; niece, Gail Skinner (Gene); nephews, Chuck Weber (Cathy), David Weber and Patrick Weber (Phyllis); and Special God Child, Amy Aldridge Wohl.
Ms. Slacum's body has been donated to the Anatomy Board For Research and Education. A Visitation and celebration of life will be held for family and friends at Katie Mae's Country Restaurant located at 530 Poplar Street in Cambridge, on Feb. 18, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
