SALISBURY - Margaret Townsend Day died Jan. 21, 2017, at the home of her daughter, Margaret Day Magno, of Midlothian, Va. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Margie Townsend. She attended Beacon Business College before marrying William M. Day, also of Salisbury, in 1941. She was a lifelong member of Asbury Methodist Church and was the church's oldest living member. She is survived by her four children, Margaret Magno, of Midlothian, Va., Mary Wilkinson, of Williamsburg, Va., Mollie Cole, of Navarre, Fla., and Bill Day, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Service arrangements are pending. Arrangements are in the care of Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury.
