Margaret A. 'Peggy' Dail
CAMBRIDGE - Margaret A. "Peggy" Dail, 76, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2007, at her residence.
She was born in Secretary on Jan. 16, 1931 and was a daughter of the late George W. and Nora Delaha McGinn.
Mrs. Dail attended school in Cambridge. On July 18, 1947, she married William H. "Juno" Dail Jr. who passed away on Sept. 28, 1996.
She worked for Western Publishing for 32 years in the quality control department. Some of the hobbies that she enjoyed were being with her grandchildren, going to Ocean City with her family, baking and traveling.
Mrs. Dail attended Grace United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Choptank Memorial Post 7460 Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and was a lifetime member of the Cambridge Lodge No. 1272 B.P.O.E. Elks.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna L. Jones and husband, Larry of Salisbury and Deborah A. Ellis of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Duane B. Dodson and wife, Stacie, Charles L. Jones, Michelle D. Lednum and husband, Dennis and Tricia A. Blake and husband, Chris; six great-grandchildren, Kelsey Jones, Danielle Dodson, Karlie Jones, Devin Dodson, Maddison Lednum and Margaret "Maggie" Blake, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Dail was preceded in death by four brothers, John W. McGinn, Weldon W. McGinn, George McGinn and Lemual McGinn; a sister, Elma Loyd and a infant sister.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with the Rev. Douglas M. Ridley officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held on tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Charles Jones, Dennis Lednum, Chris Blake, Ryan Killough, William Jones and Larry Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Duane Dodson, Jack Dail Sr. and Raymond Loyd Sr.
