SALISBURY - Louise Hastings Hitchens, of Salisbury, died Wed. March 30, 2011, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Elwood Hastings and Reva Lee Parsons Hastings. Mrs. Hitchens was a seamstress with the Manhatten Shirt Manufacturing Company and retired as a Dietician in 1986 from Deers Head Hospital. She loved shopping, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by two children, Sandra Lee Marriner and her husband Clyde of Princess Anne, and William Edward Hitchens of Delmar; two grandchildren, Victoria Louise Boltja and her husband Tom of Medina, Ohio, and Thomas Clyde Marriner and his wife Katherine of Severna Park, Md; seven great-grandchildren, Casie Boltja, Ashley Boltja, Nikki Boltja, Georgia Marriner, Anna Louise Marriner, Charlotte Marriner and Henry Marriner; and several nieces and nephews including, Cindy Hastings and Teresa Michael both of Easton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Albert, Russell, Bobby and Henry Hastings; and sister, Carolyn Moore. Services were held on Tues. April 5, 2011, at the Holloway Funeral Home. Pastor Rick Edmund officiated. Interment was in the Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
