EASTON - Lloyd R. Christopher, age 98, died at his home in Easton, on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. He was born near Easton on July 17, 1913, and was the last surviving child of the late William Richard Christopher and Suda Frances Hopkins Christopher. His wife, Mary E. Venables Christopher died on Jan. 19, 1910. He worked for many years as a mechanic for Hallowell and also Noble Ford. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the last of nine children, preceded in death by siblings, Neva Moore, Avery Christopher, Margaret Pizzi, Lillie Baynard, Gladys Larmore, Edward Christopher, Gilbert Christopher, and Earl Christopher. Funeral services for him were 1 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2012, at Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Glen Staehli officiating. Interment followed in Firemen's Cemetery in Sharptown. Family and friends called at the funeral home on Friday from noon to 1 p.m. The family has requested that donations be made in his memory to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 162, Hurlock, MD 21643; or to the Alzheimers Association Eastern Shore Chapter, 213 West Main Street, Salisbury, MD 21801.
