Lillian Ruth Crockett

L. Ruth Crockett, 87

CRISFIELD - Lillian Ruth Crockett, of Crisfield, died Friday, August 21, 2009, in the Manokin Manor Nursing in Princess Anne. She was 87. Born in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late Augustus T. Forbush and Lillian Guy Forbush. She was a retired nurses aide at the McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield. Her husband, Richard M. Crockett, died May 25, 2007. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Leland Forbush, John Forbush, and Gus Forbush Jr.; and two sisters, Mollie Causer and Stella Lamson. Surviving are three children, Jim Crockett of Milton, Del., Dickie Crockett (Jacqueline) of Crisfield, and Kandy Powell of Annapolis; two grandsons, John Crockett of Crisfield, and Rex Hickman of Princess Anne; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Sunnyridge Memorial Park near Crisfield. The Rev. Philip Morris officiated. There was no public viewing. Donations in her memory may be made to ones favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home.
