Leonard Boyd

SALISBURY - Leonard Boyd died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018, at his residence. Born in Thomson, Ga., he was the son of the late Madison Boyd and Estella Stockton Boyd.
He was a member of Christian Unity Fellowship, where he served as an usher, trustee and member of the Men's Choir and Board of Directors. Prior to retiring, he was a foreman at Perdue Farms Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Boyd of Salisbury; three daughters, Teresa Boyd of Green Cove Springs, Fla., Darlene Simpson of Delmar and Laurie Lynn Mitchell of Thomson, Ga.; a brother, Truman Boyd of Thomson; a sister, Ella Belle Rogers of Thomson; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at Weeping Mary Full Gospel Baptist Church in Salisbury. Interment followed at Green Acres Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home.
