CAMBRIDGE - Kirra Marie Cosby, 7, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Born Sept. 12, 2000 in Tucson, Ariz., she was the daughter of Russell Cosby and Kermeshia Dixon.

Kirra was a second grade student at Sandy Hill Elementary School in Cambridge. Her favorite subjects were math and reading.

Her hobbies were drawing, riding her bike and scooter, listening to music and dancing. She was always happy and smiling.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Lillian Cosby; stepmother, Tunisha Cosby; stepfather, Phillip Wright; maternal grandmother, Alice Johnson; maternal grandfather, Kermit Dixon; paternal grandmother, Renee Washington; paternal grandfather, Russell Cosby; paternal great-grandmothers, Catherine Cosby and Barbara Washington; paternal great-grandfather, Ronald Thompson; seven aunts, Tieria and Lavonne Washington, Jackie Johnson, Cierra Dixon, Roshonda Potter, Alexis Johnson and Tanya; five uncles, Prince and Ty Dixon, Omar Huggins, Chris Johnson and Anthony Coles; a great-aunt, Sandra Dotson; a great-uncle, Ellwood Friend; two adopted aunts, Nikia and Shamaya Molock; an adopted uncle, Jabari Cornish and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Alice Spicer, Helen Dixon, Rudolph Dotson and John Dixon and paternal great-grandfather, Bernard Cosby.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at Refuge Temple Church of God, 800 Robbins St., Cambridge, with a viewing tonight from 7-9 at the church and two hours prior to the services on Saturday only.

The Henry Funeral Home, PA in Cambridge is handling the arrangements.
