CAMBRIDGE - Katherine Miller, 79, passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at her home.
She was born May 28, 1928 in Macon, Ga., daugter of the late Amos Chatfield and Clara Chatfield.
She was known to many as Mom, Momma-kat and Mom-mom.
She is survived by one sister, Jackie Montgomery; her 10 children, who four of reside in Atlanta, Ga.: Garvis Miller, Tommy Thorton, Floyd Miller and Diane Wise and six that reside in Maryland: Larry Miller, Darrell Johnson, Mable Oeorio, Madeline Curry, Mae Johnson and Willie Curry Jr. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had three special daughters, Felicia Blount, Patricia Thomas and Renda Luke Chenault.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Weaver Chatfield, Minnie Chatfielod and Wila May Chatfield; two granddaughters, Latonya Miller, Renee Curry and one great-granddaughter, Shannon Ranae Brown.
Funeral services will be held noon Saturday at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Cambridge. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to noon.
