Karen Elaine Straub, 65, of Salisbury, Maryland, passed away on November 14, 2025.

Born in Salisbury, MD, Karen was a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore and a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Karen is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Steven Straub; her daughter Mindy Straub; her son Billy Lewis; and her grandchildren, Naythan and Natalee Lewis; sister Vicki Dennis; several nieces and nephews; and close friends. She was proceeded in death by her brother, Richard “Ricky” Meadows; father, Wheeler “Jr” Meadows; sister, Bonnie Sinclair; mother, Betty Meadows; and sister, Ann Stephens.

A graduate of Wicomico Senior High School in 1978, Karen built a long and successful career in the beauty industry, working as a nail technician for more than 30 years. She was known for her skill, creativity, and the connections she made with her clients.

Karen loved spending quality time with her family. especially lunch, dinner, and shopping dates with her daughter. She found joy in simple pleasures: days at the beach, tending to her plants and potted garden, and her daily Walmart runs with Steve.

Karen was a dedicated member of Moose Lodge #654 and the Women of the Moose # 1208.

Karen will be remembered for her humor, her warmth, her strong spirit, and the deep love she held for her family. Her presence will be forever missed.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
