EASTON — The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding a juvenile that was struck by a motor vehicle over the weekend.

On Saturday, at approximately 10:30 p.m., deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division were dispatched to Royal Farms convenience store located in the 7000 block of Ocean Gateway, in reference to a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.

Deputies learned during their initial investigation that this incident occurred in the 7000 block of Dover Neck Road.

The juvenile was transported by family members from that location to the Royal Farms store to obtain medical aid. The juvenile was treated by medical personnel from the Talbot County Department of Emergency Services, who also responded to the scene.

The juvenile was ultimately transported by the Maryland State Police Aviation Command to a medical facility for further treatment and is listed in stable condition.
