
PRINCESS ANNE - Julia Middleton Hand died on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at Tawes Nursing Home.
Born in Crisfield on Jan. 1, 1926 she was a daughter of the late Sam and Ethel Morris Taylor. Her first husband, Jack Middleton, and second husband, Joseph Hand, both preceded her in death.
A graduate of Crisfield High School Class of 1943, she retired from the former Campbell's Soup in Salisbury. After retiring she worked at many places such as the former English Grill in Westover, the former Charles Briddell Company, Kitty's Flowers, and McDonalds in Princess Anne.
She was a charter member of Walker Memorial Church of God. The church first started at her house on Beechwood Street in Princess Anne.
She is survived by her daugher, Beverly Burke of Princess Anne; granddaughter, Shawna Gammino and husband Frank of Bunnell, Fla.; great-granddaughters, Gina Gammino and June Gammino both of Bunnell, Fla.; brother, George Taylor and wife Lucine of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anabelle Dize; and brother and sister-in-law, William and Susie Taylor.
A memorial service was at Walker Memorial Church of God in Princess Anne on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at 7 p.m. The Rev. Tim Shawyer officiated.
