EASTON - Joyce Nixon Brown, 49, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007.

She was born June 14, 1957, in Easton, daughter of the late Willard I. Nixon and Alma Virginia Wilson.

She was raised in Easton and received her education in the public school system of Talbot County.

The jobs that she enjoyed were at the Chesapeake Builder lumberyard for many years; as a caregiver; and her last employment at the Wet Dog car wash.

She is survived by two uncles, Roland Nixon and West Nixon; two aunts, Emma Nixon and Ellen Ryans; her grandmother, Nannie E. Lane; a great-aunt, Lillian Wilson; three brothers, Howard Edward Young Sr., Eric Jerome Wilson and Dwight Alexander Wilson; two sisters, Ida Young Ositelu and Deborah Virginia Wilson; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a longtime friend, Freddy Lee Cooper.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Timothy Nixon.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at the Queen Esther AME Church, Mandier Road, Ivytown. A viewing will be held two hours prior to the service.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bennie Smith Funeral Home.
