SALISBURY - Joshua James Reed, 89, of Salisbury, died at home on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016. He was born to the late Joshua and Helen Reed of Chincoteague on Nov 12, 1926. He enjoyed 57 years of marriage to May Lapp Reed until her death in 2010. He is survived by a sister, Rochelle Maccari, and nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Fruitland congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, being baptized in 1940. He graduated from the Watchtower Bible School of Gilead in 1946 and served as a missionary in Paraguay. He worked for many years at the Manhattan Shirt Co. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Holloway Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron with Leon Jones officiating.
