CHINCOTEAGUE, VA. - Jon Howard "Jack" Eaton, 59, died Sunday evening, Nov. 5, 2006, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
Jack was born in Baltimore, the son of the late Norwood Albert Eaton and Dorothy Forney Eaton.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the 1960s in Germany.
Mr. Eaton was a talented individual and held a great respect for nature and the environment. Residing in Wallops Island provided him the opportunity to observe migratory birds and embrace the natural beauty of coastal living and the wetlands.
He was a certified welder and practical engineer. A boating enthusiast, he enjoyed deep sea fishing. He was an avid reader and was an inventor of patents for the construction industry. He had a knack for always being able to repair things.
Surviving is his brother, Norwood Albert Eaton II (Chip) and his wife, Linda, of Easton; a nephew, Michael Kevan Eaton of Santa Monica, Calif.; a stepnephew, Jason Wollschlager of Easton; a cousin, Juanita Morris of Baltimore and a special friend, Sharon Flynn Murphy of Irving, Ky.
A Celebration of His Life led by his family and friends will be held on Saturday, at 1 p.m., at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High St., Cambridge.
