EAST NEW MARKET - Johnnie Lee Sheffield Jr., 22, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006.
Born Aug. 28, 1984, he was the son of Linda Scott and Johnnie Lee Sheffield Sr., and was raised by his grandmother, Hattie Mae Thompson.
He was educated in the public school system of Dorchester County and graduated from North Dorchester High School, Class of 2003. In his younger years he enjoyed playing Little League baseball.
"Junior," as he was known, attended and became a Christian at Greater Mount Olive Full Gospel Baptist Church in 2006.
In addition to his mother and grandmother, he is survived by four brothers - Ronnie, Randy, Wayne and Darrell; four sisters - Kiana, Tai, Tasha and Shavon; two children, Jordan and Arianna; three special aunts, Mary Greggs, Brenda Scott and Rosa Lee Cornish, a number of uncles and cousins.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at New St. John Holiness Church in Cambridge with a viewing two hours prior to the services. The Rev. John Cornish is officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Henry Funeral Home, P.A ., in Cambridge.
