SALISBURY - John "Jack" T. Adkins died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake surrounded by his family. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Harris and Mary Holiday Adkins.
He was a Wicomico High School graduate who attended Goldie Beacom, where he earned his associates degree. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked as an accountant for various companies. He owned and operated Adkins Associates until 2007. He was a lifetime member of the Salisbury Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Brenda Adkins; two daughters, Debbie Smith of Salisbury, Sandy Kylliainen of Towson, Md.; four granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by a brother, Harris Murrell Adkins.
All services are private. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
