Jimmie Wayne Harris Sr.

Jimmie Wayne Harris Sr., 50, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at his home in Delmar.

Born in Baltimore at Mercy Hospital on Feb. 16, 1957, he was the son of Grace L. Disney of Laurel, Del., and the late Charles Tyson Harris of Frederick.

Mr. Harris moved to the Eastern Shore as a teenager and joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He then worked in concrete construction and carpentry work. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping and NASCAR.

He is survived by his children, Jimmie Wayne Harris Jr., April Elizabeth Harris, Brandy Lee Harris and stepson, William Doll; six grandchildren, Jasmine, Kalob, Kelsie, Dylan, Devon and Jacob; three brothers, Larry Mohr and Charles Disney of Seaford, Del., and Eddie Disney of Laurel, Del.; a sister, Shirley Disney of Baltimore; four nieces and four nephews; four great-nieces and three great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Hastings and his ex-wife, Mary Harris.]

There will be a graveside memorial at the Eldorado Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Fred Hill officiating.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
