Jane graduated from Wicomico High School in 1955 and from Washington College in 1959. After college, she married P. Curtis Massey III, who was then serving in the Marine Corps. Jane and Curt had four children: Lisa Jane, Mark Curtis, Keith Rayner, and Brian Lee. She was always involved with the children's activities. She volunteered at their schools and led Girl Scout and Boy Scout groups.
As the children grew up, Jane continued volunteering. She served on the PRMC Hospital Foundation board for 15 years. She was a life member and former President of the PRMC Junior Auxiliary Board. She was also on the Village of Hope Board. She served on the Altar Guild and Vestry at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Her greatest accomplishment there was planning and overseeing the making and donation of over 100 needlepoint kneelers.
She loved to play bridge and was in several bridge clubs. She was an avid needleworker who stitched, knit, and wove many beautiful works of art.
Jane leaves behind her three sons, their wives, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister, Jacqueline Leedom. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, and her sister, Joyce Rayner Boyce.
