FEDERALSBURG - James N. Marine, 93, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, at Hospice House in Denton.
Born in Williamsburg on Dec. 18, 1913, he was the son of the late Archie and Katie Collins Marine.
Mr. Marine attended the Hurlock High School and joined the U.S. Army Air Force on March 2, 1942, where he served as a machine gunner on a B-24 during World War II. He was honorably discharged on Sept. 14, 1945, from the 2124th AAF Base Unit where he had obtained the rank of staff sergeant.
Mr. Marine retired from Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg as foreman of the Injection Molding Department after 30 years of service.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5246 in Federalsburg.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Gladys Collins, of Federalsburg, whom he married on Oct. 30, 1943.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and burial will be at the Maryland Veterans" Cemetery in Beulah.

Funeral arrangemengts are being handled by Williamson Funeral Home in Federalsburg.
