PARSONSBURG - James Edward Cody II died on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at his home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late George J. Cody and Mary Elizabeth Raleigh Cody. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of a VFW Post in New York. He worked as an electrical engineer for Pat's Aircraft for the past 10 years. Prior to that, he worked for Grumman and Harvard Custom Manufacturing for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Eugenia Ruth Cody; three children, Rebecca L. Webster, of Delmar, Matthew T. Cody, of Salisbury, and James E. Cody III, of Delmar; two stepsons, Steven M. Brinson and Kyle E. Brinson, both of Salisbury; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Collins, of Salisbury, and Georgianne Cody, of California; a brother, Robert Cody of Inwood, W.Va.; the mother of his children, Susan F. Cody, of Delmar; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 11, 2016, at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was in the Eastern Shore Maryland Veterans Cemetery, near Hurlock.
