Ira Jackson Scott

OXFORD - Ira Jackson Scott, passed away on Feb. 2, 2017. Jack was born in Madison, W.Va., on Feb. 17, 1947. He was a Vietnam veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of The American Legion Post 91, of Cambridge, and the VFW Post 7460, of Cambridge. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Laura Scott; and his sisters, Alice Ellis, and Carol Willey. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Cohen Scott; and his daughter, Beverly Van Schaik, of Delaware. He is also survived by his nephew, Roger Harvey, who was more like a brother and his wife, Rose and their two sons, Jason and Jeff, all of Easton. His nephew, Kevin Ellis and his daughters, Allison and Lindsey, of North Carolina. His niece, Stephanie St. James, her husband, David, and their two daughters, Savannah and Sydney, of Texas. His niece, Diana Gonder and her husband, Roger, of East New Market. His nephew, Roy Harvey, of Salisbury. There will be no funeral service.
