Howard A. Spencer

Howard A. Spencer NEW CASTLE, Del. - Howard A. Spencer, of New Castle, departed into a peaceful rest at Forwood Manor, Wilmington, Del., on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010. He was the son of the late Emmanuel and Mary Spencer. Howard was united in holy matrimony to the late Mary B. Spencer. Elder Spencer was founding pastor and overseer of the National Church of God, Inc., in East New Market, Maryland where he served faithfully for 39 years. Howard leaves to cherish his memory, four nieces, two nephews, seven great nieces and nephews, five great-great nieces and nephews, one godson and two goddaughters. There will be a viewing today, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m., at The House of Wright Mortuary, 208 E. 35th St., Wilmington. The Going Home Service will be noon, Saturday, Feb. 27, at The National Church of God, Inc., 4244 Hurlock Road, in East New Market, Md., where a viewing will be from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will take place on Monday, March 1, at 10 a.m. at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle. Ministry of Comfort Entrusted to The House of Wright Mortuary.
