Wicomico can't get by North Caroline, 20-14
The North Caroline Bulldogs held off the visiting Wicomico Indians football team by a count of 20-14 in Friday's league outing.
With the win, North Caroline upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Colonel Richardson to confront the Colonels in a non-league outing.
With the loss, Wicomico moves to 4-5 on the season. The Indians host cross-town rival Bennett in a Bayside 3A/2A outing on Friday.
The Clippers go into the outing with a record of 3-6.
Bennett lost 48-0 in their recent league outing against Kent Island in Stevensville.
Parkside takes care of Decatur, 35-28
In last Thursday's league game, the Parkside Rams football team tipped the visiting Stephen Decatur Seahawks, by a final score of 35-28.
The Rams (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Washington of Princess Anne. The Jaguars come into the non-league game with a 4-5 record. In their last game, Washington got by Snow Hill, 25-24, in a league game.
The Seahawks now hold a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Snow Hill for a non-league game on Friday.
Decatur will battle a Eagles team coming off a 25-24 league loss to Washington. The Eagles record now stands at 2-7.
Delmar routs Indian River, 42-6
The Delmar Wildcats football squad scored 42 points and limited the visiting Indian River Indians to 6 points in the Wildcats league win on Friday.
The Wildcats now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Woodbridge for a Henlopen-Southern battle on Friday.
Delmar will play a Raiders squad coming off a 27-21 non-league win over Sussex Tech. The Raiders record now stands at 5-4.
