Herbert M. Cornish Jr. CAMBRIDGE - Herbert M. Cornish Jr., beloved husband of Jockolette Cornish and devoted son of Celia Mae Cornish, passed away on Jan. 9, 2010. He is also survived by five sisters, Barbara Thompson (George), Brenda Fields, and Kathy Cornish of Cambridge, Md., Sharon Cornish-Scott, and Karen Cornish-Adebiyi of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Alfonso Cornish (Wilhemina) of Louisville, Ky.; his mother-in-law, Sylvia Beckwith; one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, two aunts, one great-aunt-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at James A. Morton & Sons Funeral Home, 1701 Laurens Street, Baltimore, Md., with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Services at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, 5033 Aireys Road, Cambridge. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon with funeral services immediately following. Interment will be Tuesday at Maryland National Memorial Cemetery.
