Helen M. Russell, 77

FEDERALSBURG - Helen Meluney Russell, 77, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, Memorial Hospital in Easton.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1929, in Seaford, Del., the daughter of the late William E. Meluney and Effie Johnson Meluney.

She attended school in Seaford, Del. She will be remembered as a full-time house wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ralph C. Russell, whom she married on Sept. 24, 1949; a son, Greg Russell and his wife, Julie of Federalsburg; a daughter, Susan Russell of Easton and her companion, Brian Higdon of Centreville; three grandchildren, Megan, Gregory, and Amber Russell, all of Federalsburg; two sisters, Hester White of Seaford, Del., and Mary Swetland of Camden, Del.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Meluney and Francis Meluney, and a sister, Grace Trivits.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Rev. David Heistand officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Swetland, David Swetland, Richard Breeding, Billy Meluney, Wayne Meluney, Scott Milligan, and serving as honorary pallbearer will be Gary Breeding.
