PARSONSBURG - Helen Horsman Morris died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury. Born at Lewis Wharf near Vienna, she was the daughter of the late Julian C. and Nellie S. Horsman. She was a 1943 graduate of Vienna High School and a 1947 graduate of the Peninsula General Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Cadet Nursing Corps, Peninsula General Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, Melson United Methodist Church and Happy Timers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edgar M. Morris; a daughter, Rebecca Merritt; three sisters, Margaret Apple, Madeline Reid and Louise Byrd; and two brothers, Darius "Bill" Horsman and Franklin E. Horsman. She is survived by her son, Thomas Morris of Parsonsburg; two grandsons; a sister, Emma Jean Sellers; and several nieces and nephews. All services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
