Since 1993, Maryland's cities and towns have celebrated Municipal Government Works Month each November in an effort to promote citizens' awareness of and interest in the government in their communities.

The Commissioners of Hebron recently joined with the Maryland Municipal League to celebrate the month of November as Municipal Government Works month with a proclamation.

The MML is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association represented by 157 municipal governments and two special taxing districts throughout the state.

An open house was held on Nov. 19 for all town residents.

The event was attended by Delegate-elect Sheree Sample-Hughes.
