Harvey E. Looney

SALISBURY - Harvey Ennis Looney died on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Frank and Elsie McConnell Looney. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years as an Aviation Structural Mechanic during the Vietnam War. He then joined the Prince George's County Police Department as a police officer and held a position there for 20 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Salisbury Gun Club. He is survived by his wife, Vera Looney, of Salisbury; a daughter, Jessica Johnson, of Georgetown, Del.; three sons, John Looney, of Miami, Fla., Jason Looney, of San Diego, Calif., and Mike Looney, of New York; a stepdaughter, Marsha Lecates, of Salisbury; a stepson, Frank Lecates, of Salisbury; three grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandson; two brothers, Rob Looney and Jerry Looney; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Looney; and a brother, Ed Looney. A funeral service was held Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial was in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
