PARSONSBURG - Harvey Allen Massey, of Parsonsburg, died Friday, June 3, 2016 at his home in Parsonsburg, surrounded by his family. Born in Seaford, he was the son of the late Norris Elwood Massey and Mary Elizabeth Robinson Massey. He worked several years as a store manager for Drug Fair, before opening Massey's Village Inn in Parsonsburg, He owned and operated The Inn for over 20 years, then went to work as a zone manager for Walmart in Salisbury, from where he retired in 2014. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Cook, Sandra Hill and Heather Smith; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Carole Jeanette Massey; a daughter, Kimberly Massey; and sisters, Caroline Wickham, Jean Good and Irma Massey. A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
