Harry Kane blazes to 100 Bundesliga goals in record time as Bayern goes 3-0 up vs Union Berlin

Posted

MUNICH (AP) — Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane became the fastest player to score 100 goals in the Bundesliga on Friday during the first half of a match against Union Berlin.

The 33-year-old England striker reached the milestone by converting a 39th-minute penalty, helping Bayern build a 3–0 halftime lead. Jamal Musiala opened the scoring in the 18th minute, while Michael Olise added a third goal in the 43rd.

Kane hit the 100-goal mark in just his 99th match. The previous record for the fastest to a century was held by Dieter Müller, a prolific striker for Cologne in the 1970s, who achieved the feat in 123 games.

It all comes after an unconvincing stretch for Bayern in the last two Bundesliga outings, which included a goalless draw with Schalke and a narrow 2–1 win over Elversberg.
