JOPPA - Horace "Pete" G. Peterson Jr., 74, formerly of Cockeysville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007.
"Pete" served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Jacksonville, VFW Post 10080. He retired in 1990 from A.A.I. Corp with 35 years of service.
Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marlyn F. (nee Eckert) Peterson; children - Belinda L. Dreisch and her husband, Burt, Brenda S. Nash and her husband, Bill, Judith A. McLaughlin and her husband, John of Cambridge, Jeffrey L. Peterson and his wife, Patricia; a sister, Isabelle McConkey; nine grandchildren including Heather and Taylor McLaughlin of Cambridge. He is also survived by a number of sisters and brothers-in-law including Debbie Dean and Barbara Tunney of Fishing Creek and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Saturday beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow in the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Poplar Grove United Methodist Church.
