Grace 'Dimples' Elizabeth Jackson, 50 GREENSBORO - Grace "Dimples" Elizabeth Jackson, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2010, in her home. She was 50. She was born in Cambridge to Grace Savage Ward of Harrington, Del. and the late Hamlet Lee Ward. Ms. Jackson was a lifetime resident of the eastern shore. She had previously worked for the Star Democrat Newspaper, until 1997 when she went off on her own to become a free lance writer. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Bartaletta. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her close companion, William F. Paugh of Denton; three daughters, Melissa and husband, Adrian Carlin of San Bernardino, Calif., Friday "Katie" Ward of Alexandria, Va., and Darah Jackson of East New Market; two brothers, H. L. Ward Jr. of Gaithersburg and Dwight Ward of Harrington, Del.; two sisters, Patricia Ward of Cambridge and Teresa "Terry" Buchanan of Ohio; and four grandsons, Logan Wharton, Isaac Wharton, A. J. Carlin and Eli Carlin. A Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 07, 2010, from Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, MD 21639.
