TAYLORS ISLAND - Gloria Warren Knisley, 74, passed away at the Dorchester General Hospital in Cambriddge on Sunday, May 20, 2007.
She was born at Guilford on Nov. 1, 1932 and was a daughter of the late John D. and Bessie Elizabeth Wheeler Reeley.
She attended Guilford Elementary School and Ellicott City School. She graduated from Elkridge High School in 1949. From June of 1949 until October of 1950 she worked at Phillips" Five & Dime Store in Laurel.
On Nov. 3, 1950 she was married to Charles F. Knisley Sr. Mr. Knisley passed away on July 9, 2000.
She had been in failing health for the past four years and been a patient at Dorchester General Hospital for the past nine days.
Survivors include a son, Charles F. Knisley Jr. and his wife, Vickie Knisley of Ruther Glen, Va.; one daughter, Sandra K. Wratchford and her husband, Frank R. Wratchford of Moorefield, W.Va.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond "Bubbie" Reeley of Kearnesyville, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Knisley; two brothers, James N. Reeley and John D. Reeley and one sister, Mabel Slunt.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
