George Joseph Silk

SALISBURY - George Joseph Silk died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Margaret Brown Miller. Hek was a U.S. Army veteran in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean conflict. He was a Baltimore County Policeman for over 25 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, was an avid Orioles, Ravens and Colts fan. He is survived by his wife, Valarie Silk; daughter, Linda Heim; son, Jeffery Silk; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene Rydzewski. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, June 1, 2015, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
