BISHOPVILLE - George Alva Urian died Sun., Apr. 27, 2015, at the Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late George Urian and Beatrice Eck VanAmburgh. He retired in 1988 as a staff member for the U.S. Congress, where he served the House Appropriations Committee. He is survived by three children, Carl George Urian of Salisbury, Richard Paul Urian of Ellicott City and Julie Marie Urian of Great Falls, Va.; and seven grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Annette Augustine Urian, in 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial Memorial was held on Fri., May 1, 2015, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Inurnment followed at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
