CAMBRIDGE - Geneva E. Burton, 86, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Easton.

Mrs. Burton was born in Cambridge on Feb. 10, 1921, and was a daughter of the late Alvin Troy and Nedith Alverda Frazier Morris.

Mrs. Burton graduated from Cambridge High School. She was a homemaker. On July 7, 1989, she married Allan Burton.

Mrs. Burton had been a resident of Mallard Bay Care Center for five years. She was a member of Cambridge Elks Lodge 1272.

Mrs. Burton is survived by her husband, Allan Burton of Cambridge; a son, Wayne Burton of Sykesville; two grandchildren, Kathleen Burton and Karen Parrish; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by a sister, Nedith Henry; and three brothers, Leroy Morris, Troy Morris Jr. and Alton Morris.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, with the Rev. A. Delmer Willey Jr. officiating. A visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
