CAMBRIDGE - GeEtt Cornish, Sr., 43, answered the Lords heavenly call surrounded by his loving family on September 25, 2013 at Easton Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1970 in the city of Wilmington, Del. He graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School. GeEtt worked for many years for the Coldwater Seafood Company and was employed as a truck driver for T&T and RJ Trucking Companies. To know GeEtt was to love GeEtt. He had a very kind heart and he lived life to the fullest. He was a man who loved his family. He enjoyed shooting pool, singing, eating good home cooked food, talking with his baby sister everyday on the phone and riding around with his three best friends/brothers: Rip, Monsunta and Hojane. GeEtt's favorite songs were "Victory Is Mine", "When We All Get To Heaven" and "I'm A Soldier." GeEtt was baptized at a very early age at the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ Jesus. Later, he became a member of the St. John's Holiness Church until his health failed. GeEtt leaves to cherish his memories his father, Bishop Clarence Cornish, Sr. (Dora) of Cambridge; his mother, Rosa Lee Cornish of Marion, S.C.; six children, GeEtt Cornish, Jr. of Cambridge, Tynesha Cornish of Cambridge, Gevon Cornish of N.C., Gequan Cornish of N.C., Ge'khi Cornish of Princess Anne, and GeEtt Cornish, III of Princess Anne; one grandchild, Jamari Cornish-Lee; four sisters, Joyce Bell (Roy) and Theresa Davis both of Cambridge, and Priscilla Cornish and Justine Burgess (Bernard) both of Marion, S.C.; 12 brothers, Clarence Cornish, Jr. (Sandra) of Baltimore, James Cornish, Sr. (Suzann) of Cambridge, Apostle Anthony Sr. (Edwina) of Wilmington, Del., Jerry Cornish, Sr. (Mary) of Cambridge, Bishop Keith Cornish (Tina) of Cambridge, Apostle David Cornish, Sr. (Dionne) of Wilmington, Del., Prophet John Cornish, Sr. of Cambridge, Bishop Hojane Cornish, Sr. (Elizabeth) of Cambridge, Rip Cornish, Sr. (Monica) of Cambridge, Monsunta Cornish, Sr. (Barbara) of Cambridge, and Elder Clarence Cornish, III (Ajia) of Cambirdge; two step-sisters, Tanera Cephas of Columbia, S.C. and Kishia Cephas of Cambridge; three step-brothers, Dwight Cephas (Dian), Steven Cephas (Tyann) and Brian Cephas (Tameka) all of Cambridge; three aunts, Mother Margaret Cephas of Hurlock, Mary Gregg of Rochester, N.Y. and Audrey George of Cambridge; one uncle, Donald Copper of Petersburg; best friend/cousin, Kim Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Allan Cornish. A viewing will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2013 at St. Johns Holiness Church-Edgewood Ave. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Souls Harbour Church of God-Peachblossom Ave. where friends may call one hour prior.
