Flossie May Douglas

SALISBURY - Flossie May Wise Douglas, daughter of the late Archie and Brazealion Wise of Nassawadox, died at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018.
She was a former member of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Snow Hill, where she was a missionary and held several offices in her earlier years. Later, she became an active member of Miracle Temple in Pittsville. Finally, she attended First Baptist Church of Salisbury, where she sang on the Praise Team.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte Henry of Salisbury, Sandra Blake of Salisbury, Diana Watkins of Newark, Del., Barbara Douglas of Portsmouth, Va., Antoinette Douglas of Salisbury, Jeanette Douglas of Hagerstown, Md., Jessie Douglas Jr. of Laurel, Edith Bennett of Las Vegas, Nev., Rodney Johnson of Portsmouth, Va., Cecil Simms of Snow Hill, Timothy Simms of Delaware, Donald Douglas of Hagerstown, Md., Michelle Randall of Texas and James Fields of Baltimore.
Additionally, she leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie T. Douglas Sr.; one daughter, Catherine Douglas; and two sons, Don Douglas and Dan Douglas.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Salisbury. Interment was at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home in Salisbury.
