Brohawn, 82 CAMBRIDGE - Florence W. 'Flossie' Brohawn, of Cambridge, passed away on February 4, 2012, at Dorchester General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on December 18, 1929, in Vienna, Md. and was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Lawson Willey. She attended schools in Cambridge and was the first delivery girl for the Daily Banner. She was married to Lee A. 'Bummy' Brohawn on October 13, 1946. Mr. Brohawn died on May 4, 1995. She was a homemaker most of her life and for the last 16 years, she was the volunteer bookkeeper at Flowers n Things and was proud of using the computer to do the billing. She enjoyed needlepoint and counted cross stitch. For those who knew her well and knew her impatience for waiting, you will appreciate that some of her final words were "I didn't think it would take this long". She is survived by her daughters, Susan B. Dickinson (Mike) of East New Market, Mary Ann Hurley (Jon) and Terry B. Robbins (Mark) of Cambridge; grandchildren, Brett Dean (Kelley) of Cambridge, Kathryn L. 'Katie' Dickinson of East New Market and Lisa Dickinson Jacobs of Pasadena, Md; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth B. Dean of Cambridge; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Gladys Mills, Cora Jones, Hazel James and Winifred Peeling; and four brothers Watson Willey, Jesse Willey, Linwood 'Pete' Willey and Jack S. Willey. At her request, funeral services will be private. Expressions of sympathy can be made by donations to the Lee A.
