The Board of Directors of First Shore Federal Savings and Loan Association has promoted three of its senior managers to important posts with the bank.
Eugene Malone of Salisbury was elected to the position of Vice President of Commercial Lending and Regional Loan Officer.
Malone joined First Shore Federal four years ago after a successful career of nearly 40 years in leadership with local and regional commercial banking institutions.
With First Shore, and working with First Shore’s Chief Lending Officer Nestor Bleech, Malone has been instrumental in the continued evolution and development of the association’s commercial loan program.
Malone is currently Chairman of the Wicomico Board of Education. He recently completed a term as President of the Board of Directors of Habitat of Humanity of Wicomico County and is a board member of the Salisbury University Maroon and Gold Club.
He is a past president of the Salisbury Jaycees, a past Regional Director of the Maryland Jaycees, and has held leadership roles for numerous community activities for many years -- in particular youth athletic programs.
“We are most pleased that the board has recognized Gene Malone with this position,” said Marty Neat, First Shore President and CEO. “He has been a leader in the business and banking community for many years and his work with Nestor Bleech has truly elevated First Shore’s commercial lending to a position of leadership in our region. At the same time, his commitment to the community in which we all live exemplifies what First Shore stands for.”
Malone is a graduate of Wicomico High School and the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University.
Debbie Tingle of Salisbury was elected to the position of Vice President. She also serves as branch manager of the association’s Ocean Pines branch, Worcester County district officer, and First Shore’s security officer.
Tingle has been with First Shore for more than 40 years, serving in a variety of increasingly responsible positions during those years and has been a member of the management team for more than 30 years.
A multiple recipient of the association’s employee award program, she has been active with many community groups including the United Way, March of Dimes, Junior Achievement and Red Cross.
“We are most pleased that the board has recognized Debbie Tingle for her many contributions and essential role with our association,” said Neat.
Rebecca L. Mason of Pocomoke City was elected to the position of Vice President of Information Technology/Information Security.
Mason has been with First Shore for more than 15 years, serving in a variety of increasingly responsible positions including loan processor, savings counselor and Assistant Vice President. She has helped to lead the association’s important technology and information security functions for nearly a decade and served as a member of the Leadership Team for more than five years.
She is a graduate of Holly Grove Christian School, Wor-Wic Community College and Salisbury University, where she was elected to Kappa Delta Phi Honor Society.
