TAYLORS ISLAND - Felix Karpavage (known as Junior), of Taylors Island, passed away Sept. 21, 2010, with his daughter at his side. Born on July 8, 1927, in Wanami, Pa. He joined the Coast Guard where he served on the S.S. August Belmont, Frederic C. Howe, Cape Falcon, Madawaska Victory and the S. S. Blue Island Victory. After the Coast Guard he served in the Army and finished serving his country in the Marine Corps. He married Fannie L. Willey of Taylors Island where they resided and raised their three children. After the passing of his loving wife in 2002 he remained on Taylors Island until his health failed, where he then resided with his daughter in Cambridge. He leaves behind a son, Windy Karpavage and his wife Edwina of Taylors Island; a daughter, Wanda Jones and her husband Tubby of Cambridge; and a son, Felix Karpavage, Jr. and his wife Deana of Delmar, Del.; five grandchildren, Richard Travis, Jr., and companion Christina Nicolosi, Bree Karpavage, Mahlah Karpavage, Caleb Karpavage and Trevor Karpavage; two great-grandsons, Richard Travis, III (Big Guy), and Relic Hughes; and one great-granddaughter, Maeva Hughes. A tear signifies and says many things throughout our lives, but when it's all said and one, it says - goodbye. A private service for immediate family was held at Bethlehem Church Cemetery, Taylors Island. Arrangements are entrusted to Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A.
