SALISBURY - Evelyn Louise Hastings Taylor died Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, at her home. Born in Delmar, she was the daughter of the late William Boyd Hastings and Carrie "Pearl" Sirman Hastings. She was a member of Rock Christian Fellowship and was a secretary for Taylor & Harper Masonry. She was a licensed home day care provider for 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Oran Hopkins Taylor; three children: Robert L. "Bob" Taylor of Cleveland, Tenn., Sue Evelyn Moore of Newark, Del., and Deborah Taylor Smart of Salisbury; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Foskey; as well as two grandchildren. A funeral service was held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at Holloway Funeral Home. Entombment was in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
