WILMINGTON, Del. - Ernest Leon Molock, age 87, formerly of Aireys, died on Nov. 1, 2007 at Christiana Hospital in Stanton after a long illness.
He was born June 9, one of 13 children born to John Francis and Mary Height Molock, but he was closest to his brothers Harvey, Elmer and Dorsey and sisters, Beatrice, Mildred and Mayme.
Ernest graduated from F. D. St. Clair High School in Cambridge. He spent 21 years in the United States Air Force as a food service supervisor, with tours of duty in World War II and the Korean War. He retired with an honorable discharge. He later worked at Elwyn Institute in the food service industry for 23 years before retiring.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Missouri; son, Richard Earl; daughter, Janis Darlene; one sister-in-law; one brother-in-law and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at Ezion Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 8th and Walnut streets in Wilmington, where friends and family may call beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be held in Delaware Veterans' Cemetery at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Ezion Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 800 N. Walnut St., Wilmington, DE 19801 in memory of Ernest L. Molock.
