Elmer F. Jester Jr.
EASTON - Elmer F. Jester, Jr., of Federalsburg, Md., passed away on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at the Memorial Hospital at Easton, Md. He was 61.
Born in Easton on Nov. 10, 1946, he was son of the late Elmer J. Jester, Sr. and Mary Jane Lane Jester.
He was a 1966 graduate of Colonel Richardson High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969, completing one tour in Viet Nam. He worked for 15 years at Southern States in Seaford, Del., and was last employed at David A. Bramble, Inc., as a truck driver. He was a life member of the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company, joining in December 1978. He loved fishing, hunting and Nascar events.
He is survived by his wife, Karen A. Breeding Jester, a daughter, Kimberly D. Moore, and her husband Darrin of Preston, two grandchildren, Conner Moore and Kaylie Moore of Preston, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Collins, and a brother Charles Wade Jester, Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Rev. Denzil Cheek will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Beulah. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 12-1 p.m.
