Jones, Sr., 78 CAMBRIDGE - Ellsworth Wilson Jones, Sr., of Cambridge passed away on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Toddville on May 6, 1937 and was a son of the late Lehman and Lottie Robinson Jones. Mr. Jones attended schools in Dorchester County. On Feb. 11, 1956, he married the former Charlotte Robinson. Ellsworth worked on the water as a young man, then worked as a foreman for Meredith & Meredith Seafood in Toddville until he and his wife started C & E Seafood in Toddville. Ellsworth was a member of American Legion Post #91, Boumi Shrine Club, Cambridge Elks #1272, Cambridge Masonic Lodge #66 A.F & A.M., Chesapeake Forest #115, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Eastern Shore Shrine Club, Scottish Rite, The Travelers Club, and Choptank Memorial Post 7460 V.F.W. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte A. Jones; son, Randy W. Jones (Beverly), son, Marty R. Jones (Terry); daughter, Angel Neild; son, Ellsworth W Jones, Jr. (Angie); grandchildren, Robert M. Jones, Bradley S. Jones, Shannon M. Chambers, Samuel B. Jones, twins - Charlotte Neild, William "Billy" K. Neild, Jr., Alaina E. Jones, and Tyler S. Jones; great-granddaughter, Caroline M. Chambers; a brother, Allan L. Meredith (Mollye) and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Besides his parents, Mr. Jones is preceded in death by a daughter in law, Nancy (Dewlin) Jones; a brother, Roy Meredith; stepfather, Charles Meredith; and a son-in-law, William K. Neild, Sr. A funeral service was held on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Mr. David Tolley officiating. Family received friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a Masonic service beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
