Born in Camden, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Robert Handy Farlow and Grace Alger MacPherson Farlow Charman. She attended Wicomico High School in her early teens. She was a member of the Christian Science Church in Salisbury. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol during World War II and helped with the war effort by working at the DuPont Co. plant in Seaford, where they manufactured nylon for parachutes. She was an avid horseback rider and loved jumping and fox hunting. She later ran Ambutran, a startup non-emergency ambulance transportation company founded by her niece, Cheryl Meeks and became an emergency medical technician during that time. In her later years she assisted her sister, Shirley Meeks, in teaching countless numbers of people, ballroom dancing. She is survived by nephews, Charles "Pete" Meeks, Jr. and Robert Farlow Jr., as well as four nieces, Cindy Keen, Connie Shubert, Peggy Elliott and Barbara Mariner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Farlow and a sister, Shirley Meeks. A funeral service was held Friday at the Holloway Funeral Home. Interment followed in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury with Rev. George R. Patterson officiating.
